The Passage of Professor Aborishade :By Chief Olabode George

                                                            Chief  Olabode George

The sudden demise of Professor Abraham Babalola Aborishade is indeed a terrible loss to every one who treasures intellect and patriotism. It is a diminution to all who cherish selfless dedication to duty and the unstinting devotion to excellence.

Professor Aborishade who served at four different times as a Minister of our great nation was a resolute and unflinching believer in the purity of the Nigerian union.

He worked hard without complaint, without excuse, resolved entirely upon the task at hand. He was a good friend, a fellow Electrical Engineer who combined his primary profession with adept political vision and uncanny strategic grasp of the partisan fray.

He was our leading statistician and polling expert in the interplay of fathoming of the electoral pattern. He was a teacher, a shepherd and a trainer of generation of scholars who sprung from the humble beginning of the provincial locality of Ijero-Ekiti.

He was a good family man with a large heart and an unobtrusive personality. He was gentle as a lamb but with potent force of character and intelligence that would shake and rouse all students of enlightenment. May the good Lord strengthen his family in this challenging hour.

BITTER KOLA

If you have not been taking Bitter Kola, otherwise known as Orogbo, you may need to read this.
                                                        Bitter Kola

Bitter Kola as a nut has a brownish outer cover while the inner part is yellowish in colour. It contains a juicy substance which is assumed to be the active ingredient.

Medically, anybody can eat as many as he or she prefers to consume by pulling off the outer coating, but be mindful of its bitterness. This tropical fruit also interfaces with your body's ability to produce and store new fat, causing more of your own stored fat to be burned off for energy. Garcinia Kola popularlly known as Bitter Kola or 'Orogbo' in Yoruba, is also known to help decrease levels of harmful LDL cholesterol.

Bitter Kola could be used in treating opportunistic infections associated with HIV because of its antibacterial, detoxification and cleansing properties. Bitter Kola contains Saponin Chemical which is responsible for its cleansing effect. Saponin is mainly used as tonic for the liver and it enhances the functions of the liver and gall bladder.

It is also very effective in the treatment of cough, diarrhoea, tuberculosis and other bacterial infections, when food is suspected to be contaminated, it will forestall the development of any infection or poisoning.

In the past, Bitter Kola was eaten by the elderly because of their believe that it could prolong age, but researches in modern science have revealed that Bitter Kola contains chemical compounds that will help the breakdown of glycogen in the liver and has other medicinal uses for its longetivity property in man.

The naturalists recommend Bitter Kola for children that are suffering from measles and mumps. For this therapy, grind the Bitter Kola and mix it with honey. It will help to heal the wound. This should be taken orally and also applied externally in the case of mumps. It is also efficacious in stopping vomiting in children and adults, especially pregnant women.

Bitter Kola can also be used to clear coarse voice. It clears the voice by stimulating the mucus along the lining of the vocal tube, thereby softening the dry throat. It can be eaten anytime. It has no side effect under normal circumstances because it is one of those medicines that has no overdose.

Naturally, it is advised that you balance your food intake. That is, when sweet foods are eaten in excess, the body tends to be more acidic. Hence, in order to balance this, bitter foods should be eaten ocassionally. Bitter Kola is highly recommended for this purpose.

No Factions in PDP - HON MOSHOOD SALVADOR

Chairman Lagos State PDP -   Hon Moshood Adegoke Salvador

The Lagos PDP does not have faction. You will be correct to say that there are some aggrieve memberss but having a factional PDP is impossible.

How do you explain to me that a man preparing to contest election in Ekiti state is also a Chairman of Lagos PDP.

How you want me to understand now that PDP now get their Chairmen through Letter of Appointment".

How do you want me to reason with you that PDP now buy forms with cash.

WE DO NOT HAVE FACTION, WE HAVE AGGRIEVE MEMBER.
We shall call them
We shall talk to them
We shall involve them
We shall make sacrifices
We shall reach a compromise.
We shall win together.
PDP says it is Salvador
INEC says it is Salvador
DSS says it is Salvador
Now, LASIEC is saying it is Salvador.
What else is the issue?
